Founder of Media Platforms as Creative Catalysts

With over 2000+ articles published across many platforms, R.T. Hickey is also a founder of impactful platforms, such as The National Newspaper UAE and The Cultural Ithraeyat Magazine
As a founding member of The National Newspaper in UAE, R.T. held multiple roles. She developed strategies, conducted research, and launched and enhanced a special in-depth features section titled ‘Infocus.’ She secured the paper’s first exclusive royal interviews. She was the leading member of ‘History Projects,’ which included oral heritage segments — content later included as part of the UAE’s collective memory at The National Archives.

R.T. also founded Ithraeyat Magazine to highlight forgotten art and keep the cultural pulse alive in 2020 during COVID-19 lockdowns. She manages it as an editor-in-chief and creative art director, curating content that encourages collaboration, bridges cultures and understanding and inspires peaceful endeavours.
Over the years, R.T. has solidified her role as a cultural custodian, introducing the world to over 800 artists, fostering more than 30+ cultural partnerships through the magazine, and mentoring and training new writers, artists and editors. A special section featured in each edition is titled ‘Bridges - Cross-Cultural Conversations.’ This reflects her unwavering endeavour to promote art, culture, and creativity, build bridges between nations, cultures and diverse creatives, and promote gender equality in her capacity as a leader.
